Your membership with IFMA provides many
benefits to you and your company:
Local networking with
professional peers
- IFMA chapters add special
value to your membership experience
Local Chapter meetings provide you with an opportunity to
experience educational programs and take part in tours of
noteworthy facilities throughout the Bay Area and Northern
California. Meeting regularly with members of the Redwood
Empire Chapter will give you an opportunity to discuss work
challenges with colleagues who have faced similar problems
and can offer guidance, insight and support.
- Chapter-specific member
resources
In addition to information and tools available through your
IFMA membership, the Redwood Empire Chapter offers resources
specific to your local interests. Local resources provide
industry knowledge, career growth, and extensive networking
opportunities. Our Chapter maintains its own web site, local
membership directories, and employment referral directories.
- Best practice sharing with
local peers
Through chapter Web sites, meetings and events, you have
the opportunity to talk with peers about workplace challenges
and pose industry-related questions, receiving timely answers.
Our chapter brings IFMA resources directly to you, making
your membership experience more personal.
- Local professional development
programs
The The Redwood Empire Chapter sponsors IFMA educational
seminars, offers round table and panel discussions, and
presents "hot topic" speakers to members. We also
organize certification study groups designed for members
planning to take IFMA's CFM exam. Peer support and knowledge
sharing contribute to enhancing your professional development.
- Leadership opportunities
The local Chapter gives you the opportunity to add your
energy and knowledge to improving and furthering facilities
management throughout the workplace. Chapter committees
and leadership positions allow members to contribute in
areas such as program and event planning, marketing, Web
development, member recruitment, and community outreach.
- Monthly Programs
Monthly chapter programs (3rd Thursday of each month) include
networking opportunities and educational opportunities.
As a Redwood Empire Chapter Member your attendance fee is
waived and you can also attend the IFMA East Bay and IFMA
Silicon Valley programs at no charge.
